    keyword=trigger dead time

    I realized we are running with about 300kHz in HRSH. The scaler output says "larger"2.8E+5. I was wondering what the larger symbol is all about, so I asked for 50µA. The scaler output dropped to "larger"1.4E+5, so the larger seems to be irrelevant. This is also consistent with the sum for the T3 trigger in the end-of-run statements.

    I don't recall exactly what the MLU trigger deadtime is, should be about 50ns. This is the time the MLU needs to decide the trigger type of a particular event and is thus locked for the registration of another event.

    These 300kHz*50ns introduce about 1.5% trigger deadtime. The trigger deadtime has to be evaluatedlater and corrected separately from the computer deadtime which is computed from the scaler rate.
