    keyword=Shift Summary

    3/28/2000 Day Shift
Shift workers: Arun Saha, J. P. Chen, F. Merchez

Last shift (also 10 minutes into this shift) completed kin 32.We are getting ready
for kinematics 32/23 cross checking point (electron to kin 23). And setting up
for arc energy measurement and then e-p energy measurement. Plan is to
complete both energy measurements then get beam back to do the kin32/23 cross
    check data taking.
8:10 Beam off. Kin 32 completed.
8:15 Moved target to 12C position
    8:20 Controlled access.
9:10 Set electron spectrometer momentum to 554 MeV/c (went through the cycle
    procedure for Q2,Q3)
Mark Stevens and other techs are moving the electron spectrometer to 50.0 degree.
9:30 Mark phoned to tell us that the e-arm motion is not working. Replacing parts now.
11:45 After replacing parts, one of 10 motors still not working. So Mark and techs will disconnect this motor and use the other 9 motors to move the e-spectrometer.
12:45 The e-spectrometer has been moved to 51.45 degree.
    Back to beam permit.
13:00 Arc energy scanner HV set, MCC is ready to send 5uA pulsed then CW beam
for arc energy measurement. Raster is off.
    13:00-14:00 Arc energy measurement setup.
~14:00 Beam tripped, PSS system problem. Hall dropped to restrict access, due to hall ramp door opened (by fire system computer!).
    15:35 Back to beam permit.
16:00 MCC still work to get beam back.
