keyword=Set up for Lead Tests
Setting up for lead target tests. Right spectrometer at 15.0 degrees.
(Left at 53.7 degr, both spectr negative polarity). Access to raise
trip levels on ion chambers near target / dump. Before the access
we looked at beam on BeO target and found that it is off by 2 mm
horizontally relative to target (see pictures in paper log book for
e97111, page 56).
Run plan:
1. Visual check BeO.
2. Check raster.
3. 1 microamp on thin (0.05 mm) lead target. Look at momentum spectrum.
4. 1 microamp on thick, cooled lead target and do this:
a) momentum spectra
b) scan the beam position, take brief runs at each.
5. Crank the current up to 100 microamps in about 10 steps.
