    multiple peaking observed in SR TDC plane 1.
    unclear what the cause is. see fig. 1
    .
    multiple peaking not observed in SR plane 2. since S2 defines timing, this
    probably makes sense. perhaps two of the peaks in S1 TDC spectra
    are explainable (two different particle types). would need to know TDC
    calibration to know that. assuming a 2m distance between S1 and S2,
    pions should take about 6.8 ns, protons about 10.8 ns, deuterons about
    18 ns, and alphas about 33 ns. not clear alphas would make it thru
    fp stack to S2 (only 74 MeV kinetic energy).

    SL (left spect) gain on paddle S1-4R looks low (see fig. 2)
