keyword=PY-1D coincs are not electrons?it was good that we made this move to PY-1D. It will give the analysis team
some data to chew on to refine our PID. If I understand the espace kumac
properly, gassum is the sum of all the SL gas-cerenkov adc values in each
event. The plot below shows first the ungated tc spectrum. Then it shows
the good part of the gas cerenkov spectrum. If I place a cut on this gas cerenkov
region and replot tc, the coincidences all but disappear. So it would appear
that all our real coincidences are with some other particle (pi-??). I tried
similar cuts on ASUM (aerogel) but I could not make any sense out of
this spectrum.
