keyword=possible origin of EDT asymmetry
It was observed during E97111 that the scaler measurements
of EDT on L-arm was systematically higher (about 145 nsec)
compared to R-arm (100 nsec). Before adjusting the MLU output
widths, I measured the overlap of the trigger and pulser, used to
measure EDT in scalers, and found it quite marginal on L-arm,
but ok on R-arm. I made a detailed explanation in paper log book
(book #2 for E97111, I believe), page 33. The idea is that multiple
track events can make the overlap fail and the EDT seem artificially
high. The recovery : Use the event analysis as N-delta did. I think
that on R-arm the event analysis and scalers will agree. BTW, the
overlaps are very good now.
