keyword=where the shoulder comes fromPlot below is the raw tc (with my sign inversion), gated on the shoulder
in the tc_cor spectrum. My earlier supposition was not correct apparently.
It does not appear to be associated with any particular paddle, rather with a
particular region of the tc spectrum. I wonder if any optimization was done
on the self-timing spike before?? Is this feature how the optimization is trying
to smooth out the spike? comments welcome.

This feature effectively reduces our possible randoms gate from about 70
ns to about 50 ns.
